How to make the best green smoothie recipe! A simple, quick and healthy drink for beginners that tastes amazing. It only takes 4 ingredients (including your favorite fruits) in less than 5 minutes to make this delicious shake with no added sugar or sweeteners needed – perfect before workouts or anytime you need something tasty on hand

For the last decade, I’ve been drinking a green smoothie every day. It’s not just for health reasons either – it has such an amazing taste and texture! This post explains how to make them with all of my tips and tricks so that anyone can enjoy this delicious drink as well. Trust me on this one: if you’re looking for something new in your diet or lifestyle choices then there is no better alternative than adding more vegetables into yours daily intake (and don’t worry about what they do good; we will get into those).

I’ll start by sharing how to meal prep smoothies! I’m always prepared to make a delicious green juice in the moment’s notice. Every minute of those morning hours before my kids wake up is precious and shouldn’t be wasted with pre-made drinks or fresh fruit that will spoil if you don’t eat it soon enough

I like having some frozen vegetables on hand as well, which can easily break down into ice cold cashmere-like balls for an easy afternoon snack – plus they taste great too (not like rocks).

I’ve been looking for a simple green smoothie recipe that is naturally sweetened with fruit and loaded up on greens. You know the ones – they’re perfect if you want something healthy but don’t like having your taste buds rebel against anything too kale-y or raw! So this one’s got me covered because it has both those qualities, plus enough vitamin C to keep them posted at all times (hold my asparagus).

HOW TO MAKE GREEN SMOOTHIES.

I love my green smoothies made with all the fresh ingredients. It’s such a healthy and tasty way to start off your morning, especially when they’re straight from silvered blades in an authentic juicer! I prep by meal prepping for this drink so that there are no worries of not having anything available on-hand or forgetting something at home like add ins like yogurt or protein powder (which can be pricey).

I find myself spending less time grocery shopping because everything is already portioned out ahead of time…and if we get hungry between meals? No problem; just grab some fruit off our shelves instead 😉

1) FROZEN BANANAS

If you’re looking to make the best green smoothies, then I have just what your taste buds need. Bananas are an essential ingredient because of their natural sweetness and creamy texture that makes them perfect for any type or flavor! Make sure when grocery shopping pick up some bananas designated “freeze” so they’ll be ready at home in no time flat.

I love the way that bananas smell when they’re still whole, but once you cut them up and start freezing them for a later use? That’s perfection in its purest form.

I know what my go–to snack is going to be when company comes over or if I just need something quick from time-to–time!

2) USE FROZEN FRUIT & GREENS

This green smoothie recipe calls for 1 cup of frozen fruit in addition to one banana. You can make these using fresh or canned vegetables too! Using frozen fruits and greens gives you the creamiest drink, so it’s important that they are both present when blending.

I recommend stocking up on frozen fruit during the winter when produce isn’t readily available. During summer, purchase seasonal fruits at their lowest price and flash freeze them in order to enjoy them all year round!

WHAT FRUIT TO USE IN A GREEN SMOOTHIE

Here are some suggestions for fruits to use in this green smoothie recipe. In the post I used half mango and pineapple, which is one of my favorite combinations! Be aware that if you use darker fruits like blueberries or blackberries they will change color once blended into a brown beverage—but not without giving off an amazing taste experience as well!.

  • Mango
  • Pineapple
  • Strawberries
  • Blueberries
  • Raspberries
  • Peaches
  • Cherries
  • Oranges
  • Grapefruit

WHAT GREENS TO USE IN A GREEN SMOOTHIE

If you’re making this simple green smoothie recipe as a beginner, then I recommend sticking with spinach. When we get home from our shopping trip and there’s fresh greens ready for us in the freezer! If that sounds like something up your alley (or maybe not), here are some other suggestions:

  • Spinach
  • Kale
  • Swiss chard
  • Romain lettuce
  • Beet greens
  • Carrot tops
  • Collard greens
  • Celery

BLEND GREENS AND FREEZE IN CUBES

If you have a small freezer, then try this: blend the greens with water until it is smooth and pour into ice cube trays. Freeze in an airtight container for easy storage! I used to do this when we didn’t have enough space at home so that all my food would fit in one place-the basement of our condo building (which has been converted now).

3) PRE-PORTION ADD-INS

The idea of measuring out the add-ins for my green smoothies has been a game changer. I wake up early, exercise and drink coffee all before going to work! So getting ready in time is easy with everything done beforehand

I love how this makes mornings so much more enjoyable because not only do i have energy but its also an excellent way to start off any day right

So, I measure out the smoothie ingredients into these small containers and prepare two weeks worth of healthy drinks at one time! The lids are even designed so that you can just pop them open for easy access. All it takes is dumping everything in without having to do any measuring myself – which saves me tons of time every morning.

BEST GREEN SMOOTHIE ADD-INS

The taste of my green smoothies was better than ever and I had increased energy throughout the day. I combined nutritional boosters with fresh fruits to make them even more delicious, which is why this new recipe has been so successful for me in recent weeks.

Here are some tips on how you can get similar results:

  • Protein Powder – I’ve got my favorite plant-based, whey free chocolate and vanilla powder to mix up any shake.
  • Collagen Powder is a great way to give your skin that youthful, firm feel! It’s also good for gut health so you know it will be easy on all parts of the body. You’ll love adding this protein boost into any smoothie or supplement regime
  • Maca, a Peruvian root vegetable with significant fertility properties and hormone balance benefits.
  • Chia seeds are a great way to get more protein without powdering or capsules.
  • Ground Flaxseed is a great source of Omega 3s!
  • Bee Pollen – provides boosts immunity.
  • Acai Berry powder – a great spurce of antioxidants!
  • Raw cacao nibs are a healthier way to add some chocolate into your diet!
  • Coconut oil is a metabolism increaser and can keep you full for longer periods of time.
  • Cinnamon is a great way to soothe your body and keep it healthy. It has natural anti-inflammatory properties, which helps with pain relief!

Now that you know what goes into a green smoothie, it’s time to make your very own. Follow these simple steps:

STEP 1: ADD LIQUID INGREDIENTS

The secret to a perfect green smoothie is all in the liquid. When making your own, always add those ingredients first before adding anything else! This vortexes will pull everything together and create one delicious beverage for you with every sip…or rather “sharable” as we like say these days 😉

I always use either almond milk or coconut milk in my green smoothies because I think that they give the best taste and texture. There’s no need for you to worry about giving up your favorite drinks though, there are many different liquids out there:

  • Almond Milk
  • Coconut Milk
  • Any percentage of dairy milk
  • Rice Milk
  • Oat Milk
  • Cashew Milk
  • Coconut Water
  • Water (not recommended, but can be used)

STEP 2: ADD THE FROZEN GREENS

Now, you’re going to want to mix up some of that delicious smoothie goodness and add in your frozen greens.

STEP 3: ADD FROZEN FRUIT AND ADD-INS

Putting the frozen fruit on top of the greens helps push all leaves into blades and prevents them from sticking to sides.

STEP 4: BLEND!

Now it’s time to blend our green smoothie! Start blending on low speed and gradually increase, until you have a very light consistency. Blend for 50-60 seconds or longer if possible with high speeds so that the color of your drink becomes more vibrant before drinking without any lumps at all!–Goes well as either an appetizer or dessert recipe.

STEP 5: ENJOY!

Pour the green smoothie into one to four cups and enjoy! This recipe makes two good-sized adult servings or 4 kid servings.
